Photos can never due justice to artworks. Although I try to represent the art as close to real life as possible, please note that computer monitors differ on how they show colours, so please understand colours on the original may vary slightly. Please be assured that the original will be better in real life.
ACRYLICS
These have been varnished and do not need to be framed behind glass.
PASTELS
Pastels are supplied with a mount, but unframed. Please do not touch the surface of a pastel painting as you will remove the pastel and damage the painting. They must be framed behind glass.
OILS
Oils will have a removeable temporary Artists varnish applied, this can remain indefintely, or the painting can be professionally cleaned and re-varnished in the future. Oils require approximately 12 months before a permanent varnish can be applied, the temporary varnish allows the oils to continue drying whilst protecting the painting. The temporary varnish is a gloss finish which can be left unless you want it either cleaned or have a matt, satin or gloss varnish applied professionally after 12 months have passed.
Oils will be dry to the touch, they dry slowly over many years and need the protection of varnish as they are not traditionally framed behind glass.
Normal household cleaning should be undertaken with a very light dusting only.
COPYRIGHT
Please be aware that all of the paintings are originals, I hold the copyright to them, they may not be copied or duplicated in any way and this also applies to commissioned paintings.
I may make prints or cards in the future from my paintings, I hold the copyright indefinitely, it does not get passed on with ownership of the painting. I will not make cards or prints from commissioned paintings without prior arrangement.
